Levels of Realization

Gday all,

We have said a number of times that the Northern Path is a series of realizations.. on many levels..

one may even say it is a "state" of realization.. or enlightenment..

and in a Folk Tradition like ours.. these insights have much to do with what we consider to be "our" traditions... Folkways and people...

And every element.. whether it be the lore, the runes, or the saga tales of hero's and family's.... our own family traditions and Folkways.. and the art forms... the magical shape of   things sacred and everyday....,  poetry and music too

Yeah.. every single thing, and everything together.. like treasures  waiting to be brought up  to light and marveled upon.

So everything about the Northern Path.. all the external things that I mentioned..  these are the expressions of our true nature.. and  therefore exist not only as  an act of doing  or expression... but as a state of be-ing within ourselves where it all begins.

And that state of be-ing.. is not only about us as individuals, but as  a community, a Tribe or Folk, and a people....

and that community exists not only in linear time and space.. but in non-linear time and space.. thereby containing all of the collective consciousness of our people since the first ancestor....

Tribal people have this understanding.. and the true depths of   insight  are not less than the "Raw silk and uncut wood".. that.. "nobody dares to carve" that Lao Tsu talks about in the Tao Te Ching...

Not all who come home will understand  the full, true meaning of  a place...  not all at once anyway...

many are the language learned...few though.. can speak from deepest heart... the ways of our knowing

but this we learn.. one word.. one thought.. one deed.. honoring, listening...speaking more than we know

things from Folk-Soul... coming up through us like a spring of clean, clear water...

This is the North-Way and we are the people of it.. strong, unassailable... determined- in-our-way...

knowing  a great deal.. of  things long forgot.. at the forge of intellect.. hammering with a rhythm..

fire in the heart, and in the  mind, and soul..

Some take the way of Seidr and make a  rune charm. .but this is not all...

another might and main his understanding.... shape strength.. .and this too is  wisdom .. but  yet more

the shape of a ship. and the Sea knowing... wave horse on a beach... Islands...  this too is a part ..

earth things and soil... a planting, ..  good harvest.. these ways we know.......

Fire at the Forge.. the sparks of muspell. with . iron from the sacred, red lakes... weapons and tools made perfect by hand,  by hammer, and by the blue eye.... Starsteel....

Spinners, Weavers and a great loom.. women things and birth-runes.... herbs and charms.. a crib from rowan wood.,.... in the hall  war dogs are guarding....

Knowing all this.. some may not the key.. turn away from  Folk and hearth and home. ... but  none shall know the Way without the Folk... for

they are not less than everything that it is.. and it is not less than everything that they are.
